A lock in Gothic 1 Remake is a pin puzzle: each plate's pin sits in one of seven holes, and the goal is to bring every pin to the center (hole 4) without breaking a pick. This free lockpick solver takes the starting pin positions, instantly finds the matching lock among 394, and gives the exact move sequence. The “Custom lock” tab lets you enter positions and plate connections to solve any lock.
Locks in the game are fixed, so no skill is needed — you just need the move order. Enter the starting pin positions and the solver shows which plate to turn and which way. Solutions without the skill are shown by default.
A pick breaks when a pin is pushed past the end hole (below 1 or above 7). Every solution here is computed so pins never hit the edge — follow the moves exactly and no pick will break.
Some locks share the same starting positions but have different plate connections. Match by the location shown, or if the lock isn't in the database, open the “Custom lock” tab, enter the positions and connections (found by wiggling a plate in game) and get the solution.
Yes — the Master skill removes one connection between plates, so the move sequence differs. By default all solutions are without the skill; the rare Master variants are marked with a badge right in the results.
Quicksave before the lock and follow the solver's moves: every sequence is computed so a pin never passes the end hole. If the solution doesn't fit (different wiring), don't guess — read the connections by wiggling a plate and enter them in the Custom lock tab.
